Christmas in Solva!

There are plenty of local events in and around Solva this Christmas , these are just a few of the local ones –

Kicking off the festive season…Window on Wales will be open late (until 9pm) on Wednesday 3rd December.  There will of course be mulled wine, special offers and discounts for Christmas. Hopefully more shops along the Main Street will be open for this event.

On Friday 5th December we have our Solva School PTA Christmas Fayre being held in Solva Memorial Hall, Santa will be making an appearance and there are lots of stalls to visit and enjoy.  It is on between 6 & 7.30pm.

Saturday December 6th – Oriel y Parc Christmas Market – 10am – 4pm

St Aidan’s first Annual Christmas Tree Festival – Being held in aid of the upkeep of our beautiful and historic church on 6th and 7th December this year.  Visitors to the festival are asked to vote for their favourite tree and prizes are presented to the top three.

Saturday 13th – 7.30pm – Côr Dyfed Choir‘s Christmas concert, Bach’s ‘Magnificat’ and Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’ in St Davids Cathedral conducted by Oliver Waterer with soloists Penelope Appleyard, Natalie Johnson-Hyde, Susan Howley, Jonathan Upfold and Stephen Hamnett, accompanied by the Menevia Consort under the leadership of Barry Haskey. Tickets (centre nave £18, rear nave £14 and side aisles £10) are available on 01834 842291 and from Victoria Bookshop (Bridge Street, Haverfordwest); Seaways Bookshop (West street, Fishguard) and St Davids Bookshop (The Pebbles, St Davids).
